Job Description
The Plumber will provide plumbing and building services engineering maintenance to client properties. Responsibilities include fault finding, repairs, maintenance, and installation on client sites.
The emphasis is on delivering a world-class building services maintenance service, ensuring the highest standards of quality and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform scheduled inspections, preventative and corrective maintenance, repairs, adjustments, testing, and troubleshooting of assigned plumbing equipment in accordance with plumbing codes, diagrams, operation manuals and manufacturer's maintenance instructions
* Repair cracked pipes and opens clogged drainage - may work from ladders, scaffolding, hydraulic man lifts and other high-rise equipment.
* Observe plumbing systems and fixtures in operation to detect failures or locate causes of malfunctions. Dismantles devices and removes defective parts
* Inspect used parts and equipment for changes in calibration, dimensional requirements and manufacturer's specifications
* Test and calibrate systems and equipment to ensure proper system operations using test equipment or precision measuring instruments
* Maintain complex plumbing systems including equipment washers and steam cleaning devices, air compressors, hydraulic lifts, water and drainage systems, and sprinkler systems
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
* Plumbing and domestic heating technician (level 3)
* Significant experience in providing mechanical building services maintenance to include fault finding, maintenance, installation, and inspection/testing
* Significant previous experience in providing reactive and PPM building services maintenance
* Experience of working within FM or building services within commercial properties
* Experience of working under strict Health & Safety procedures including risk assessments and method statements
* Evidence Training and competence in managing High Risk Works (Mechanical)
* Ability to explore a situation, assess and offer different options to formulate a plan that meets or exceeds objectives and expectations
