On 1 April 2019 Cwm Taf University Health Board changed its name to Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board as it took responsibility for providing healthcare services for the people in the Bridgend County Borough area. Cwm Taf Morgannwg UHB now provides primary, community, hospital, and mental health services to the 450,000 people living in three County Boroughs – Bridgend, Merthyr Tydfil, and Rhondda Cynon Taf.
Ideally situated between Wales’s capital city, Cardiff, to the south, the coastal town of Porthcawl to the west, and the stunning scenery of the Brecon Beacons to the north, we operate within a vibrant community, rich in history and heritage.
Services will continue to be delivered across a network of Community Clinics, Health Centres and Community Hospitals supported by three District General Hospitals, Princess of Wales hospital in Bridgend, Prince Charles hospital in Merthyr Tydfil, and Royal Glamorgan hospital in Llantrisant.

Then our weight management service is the place for you.
We are looking for a Band 7 Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our team. You will support the professional manager in improving the level 3 service and provide clinical input for level 3 and triaging. There are leadership opportunities to take part in the operational management and supervision of team members.
You will have the support of a professional manager and be part of a multi-disciplinary team delivering an innovative service in line with the All Wales Weight Management Strategy.
The successful applicant will have demonstrable experience of leading and evaluating service development and improvement, collaborative working and possess expert knowledge of weight management.

Advert
To demonstrate clinical effectiveness by the use of evidence-based outcomes.
Lead on specific clinical audit/research projects within weight management.
To provide leadership for junior staff and support staff and contribute to their development, as a delegated supervisor.
To develop departmental policy and participate in national policy development as required.
Act as a source of expertise to other colleagues working within and outside CTMUHB.
Educate and train students, colleagues and other health care professionals.
Work autonomously to provide expert clinical and ethical advice to service users, colleagues and service leads.
Interpret national and professional clinical guidelines and policies and work with the head of service/deputy heads of service to develop clinically appropriate standards.
