* Lead subject teaching responsibility and ensure all pupils develop their knowledge and skills and make good progress in their learning
* Work with the Head Teacher and Leadership team to deliver a sequenced curriculum which builds knowledge and skills towards agreed end points
* Effectively monitor the progress of each pupil, checking their understanding systematically and effectively, putting in place clearly directed and timely intervention
Qualified Teacher (QTS/QTLS/PGCE) preferred but other recognised teaching qualification considered
* Proven experience of English teaching to secondary class/group
* Experience within an SEN setting
* Ability to prepare and deliver appropriate curriculum using a range of teaching styles and methodologies.
* Driving licence and use of own car as may be required to transport pupils
