We're looking for PLC Software Engineers to join our South West Water team.
Location: Devon & Cornwall - hybrid working
Hours: 45 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.
What will you be responsible for?
As a PLC Software Engineer, you'll be working within the South West Water team, supporting them in writing PLC & HMI software and undertaking SCADA page configurations for allocated projects.
Your day to day will include:
1. Produce PLC software in line with Client, Kier and industry standards.
2. Develop functional design specification & control philosophies.
3. Contribute to final contract documentation, 'As-built' drawings and test sheets for inclusion into operations and maintenance manuals.
4. Undertake factory & site testing when required as well as closely liaising with Client's engineering and operational staff to ensure needs are understood and met.
What are we looking for?
This role of PLC Software Engineer is great for you if you hold:
1. Experience of programming a variety of PLC platforms utilizing IEC programming languages.
2. Experience in programming HMI's and configuring SCADA pages.
3. Hold an industry applicable ONC/ HNC/ B.Eng or NVQ equivalent.
4. Good commercial and contractual awareness.
