WHAT IS INVOLVED?
We are seeking to appoint a Part Time (18.5 hours) Permanent Administrative Officer to provide a comprehensive, robust administrative support service.
This is an exciting opportunity to join our team who support the One Point Service and Family First Team members in the Newton Aycliffe and Ferryhill areas to assist them to deliver a high-quality service, which meets the needs of children, young people and families.
Some of your duties and responsibilities would include:
1. Provide core administrative functions to support the work of the Specialist Teams.
2. Oversee the provision of administrative support to OPS/FF staff within designated buildings, including day-to-day allocation of work.
3. Support the Team Leader, Service Support, in the delivery of all buildings management functions.
4. Provide proactive support to inspection arrangements, e.g., file preparation, and provide a liaison role where appropriate.
5. Provide core administrative functions to support the work of the Operations Manager.
6. Adhere to finance regulations in relation to petty cash arrangements.
We are looking for a professional and enthusiastic team player who takes pride in providing excellent customer service. The successful candidate will have good communication skills, be able to work under pressure to tight deadlines with a high degree of accuracy, be well-organised and flexible, have good IT skills, and manage changing priorities. You will also need to be able to work unsupervised using your own initiative.
WHAT WILL I NEED?
You should have a BTEC National in Public Administration or NVQ 3 Business Administration or equivalent.

HYBRID WORKING (if applicable)
Durham County Council currently operates a hybrid working policy where a model of 2 days in the workplace and 3 days at home/remote will apply. This model is pro-rated for part-time roles and arrangements are at manager's discretion; alternatively, you can work all of your contracted hours within the workplace if you prefer.
