Job summary This is an exciting opportunity to work as a Clinical Team Leader (CTL) within the PIER team, the team is an example of an Early Intervention in Psychosis (EIP) service, as the name suggests the team supports those that are experiencing the symptoms of a Psychosis for the first time, this can be an extremely distressing time for those affected and the team has developed a range of strategies to educate, support and treat those open to the team, as well as support their families and carers. The team currently has around 60 staff and consists of Psychology, Psychological therapies, Medical, Support, Admin, Nursing and management staff, it is a community service that serves all of Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland. As a Clinical Team Leader you will lead a team of up to 10 clinical staff, you will provide support to staff as well as full line management responsibility, you will also hold a small caseload of you own. Main duties of the job The successful candidate will manage and take overall responsibility for care quality performance and clinical activity by providing professional nursing leadership and guidance, clinical advice and management in relation to the key dimensions of health care quality: o Patient safety o The effectiveness of all health care interventions o Patient experience o The environment in which care is delivered To ensure the delivery of a clinically effective service which meets the needs of individuals, families and communities in line with local and national development plans, Trust policies and procedures, being responsible for the coordination of services and to promote optimum health, self-management and effective liaison between agencies. The post holder will carry responsibility and professional and managerial accountability, which includes management of staff, budgets, quality and standards of practice of all members of the team by enhancing systems such as clinical.
