The Position
We are fortunate to benefit from a solid team of talent comprising some of the best Solicitors and Barristers who are eminent within their profession. We are continually developing and are now seeking to expand that team further by the addition of a Personal Assistant.
The successful candidate shall provide comprehensive administrative and secretarial support to the Managing Director who is also the Principal Solicitor. This role also involves providing personal support to the Managing Director, working closely to complete ad-hoc tasks as and when required. The opportunity necessitates a person who is able and prepared to work in a challenging, demanding and extremely fast-paced environment. They must be adaptable, possess the ability to learn and be flexible in many different situations.
Responsibilities shall include but not be limited to: -
Administrative and secretarial duties and tasks
Attending client conferences, meetings, preparing minutes / notes
Analysing information and feedback and implementing solutions
Answering telephones call and dealing with / screening enquiries
Arranging accommodation and travel, including personal holidays
Business and personal research tasks
Collating and indexing Court bundles and documents
Calendar and diary management; scheduling appointments and sending reminders
Communicating with clients and stakeholders within the Criminal Justice System
Copying, printing and scanning documents
Fact-checking and editing
Managing Internal and external departments and stakeholders
Organising and maintaining office systems
Organising Managing Director’s entire business, personal and professional schedule
Preparing Expenses
Preparation and production of business and legal documents, forms, and statements
Primary point of contact in the absence of Principal
Provide guidance to junior and temporary secretaries when required to do so
Undertake departmental system administration
Requirements
The successful candidate shall have at least five years’ experience in a similar supporting role. They must have excellent computer / IT and organisational skills. They shall be required to have the requisite ability to communicate and liaise with clients and stakeholders within the Criminal Justice System in a confident manner. Furthermore, they should have a full, clean UK driving licence and access to their own vehicle.
