The Enterprise IT Systems Architect will identify, define and implement architecture and high level design principles providing guardrails to the development teams allowing the business to meet its goals in the most structured and efficient manner.
What will you be doing? Be hands on, provide technical leadership, actively engage and promote practical technology implementation with engineering teams.
Identify metrics to evaluate the performance of the architecture for continuous improvement.
Manage the target state Enterprise IT architecture and a strategy for delivering it, identifying current technical hotspots and technical risks feeding into strategic roadmaps.
Collate business requirements, create a high-level Enterprise IT design, and create a roadmap for moving to the desire Enterprise IT state.
Document RFP requirement where a need to procure new IT services such as cloud, managed services such as desktop and network, are required to deliver the Enterprise IT Strategy.
What are we looking for? Must be an Agile Enterprise IT Architect with demonstrable working knowledge of agile development practices providing hands on leadership and support to engineering teams.
Experience of complex environments, preferably including experience of outsourced environments, Group/Market (hub and spoke) organisations and systems integrators.
Ability to process conflicting project requirements into a strategic framework and drive delivery with a number of diverse stakeholders: C-level, IT Architects, Security and Data Architects, as well as miscellaneous business stakeholders.
Ability to explain Enterprise IT Strategy/architecture in detail and justify why strategic decisions are made, by aligning infrastructure and application architecture with business, security and data strategies.
Ability to justify delaying tactical work, if necessary.
Be able to demonstrate a technical background and understanding of a full suite of infrastructure and application components, including cloud (IaaS and SaaS in particular) and other forms of managed services, and interdependencies in an enterprise environment.
A good working knowledge of SAFe (preferred) or TOGAF and the ability to highlight the differences.
