As Civil Site Supervisor NEC4 you will be joining a world-leading engineering consultancy tasked with the delivery of a number of civil engineering/railway upgrades construction projects in Northern Ireland.
As Civil Site Supervisor NEC4, you will be responsible for technical and quality support for the onsite phase on the delivery of major works in a wide range of civil engineering projects. Your duties will include, but not be limited to, the following:
1. Coordinate construction works interfaces, including Weekly Operating Notice planning for works on the railway.
2. Review construction method proposals, methodologies and risk assessments.
3. Undertake frequent site visits to inspect and coordinate work sites for compliance to all requirements in the contract – quality, safety and environment.
4. Supervise construction works and undertake role of NEC4 Contract Site Supervisor where required.
5. Prepare progress and quality reports, including works impacting on schedule, quality, cost implications, H&S and identified risks and issues.
6. Escalate issues and risks to Project/Contract Manager, including the impact of change and the evaluation of compensation events.
To be considered for this role you will have:
7. A construction-related qualification, with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in civil engineering-related projects.
8. Possess proven on-site experience of civil engineering/construction works.
9. Knowledge of managing construction safety.
10. Strong planning and organisational skills across a range of complex activities.
11. Experience using MS Word, Excel and Outlook, able to compile and present project reports.
12. Experience of NEC3/NEC4 contracts is highly desirable.
13. Experience in a railway infrastructure environment is highly desirable.
14. Experience working in a safety-critical environment is h ighly desirable.
