Are you an experienced IT Helpdesk Leader, if so keep reading. As our 1st Line Technical Support Team Leader you’ll be leading the team of 1st Line Technical Support colleagues to ensure they provide effective support to internal and external customers. Part of your day will be spent doing the business as usual activities, but this will be mixed up with monitoring and managing workloads, analysing data and reporting on the information. You’ll be picking up trends and adjusting the process to support better outcomes. The role will require you to mentor the team and provide training as required. About you You will already have experience of working in a 1st line technical support role or equivalent and will have recent leadership experience. You will be experienced in using a Helpdesk ticket logging system, we use Service Now, so it’ll be great if you have any understanding of that too. You’ll be confident in being a natural coach/mentor and will see yourself as a go to person for training and learning support. You’ll be able to demonstrate excellent customer service skills. This role will require you to manage a number of tasks simultaneously so you’ll have strong time management skills and we’ll feel happy in your ability to multi-task. You’ll have a natural desire to lead by example so ensuring that processes are adhered to will be important to you, whilst considering service improvements and suggesting changes in process for the right reasons. You’ll be joining a virtual team who ideally come together each quarter. The team are based in the South West so being in the area or close by will be important as you may decide as the Team Leader to meet with colleagues on a more regular basis. You’ll ideally have a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes to support any regional travel.
