Job Description
The Planning Engineer is responsible for developing, agreeing and delivering detailed planning requirements and concerns closure for a specific Manufacturing Zone / Technology from Pre-series through series production to EOP.
The Production Planning Engineer must deliver to the agreed Quality, Cost and Delivery targets whilst ensuring Health and Safety, IATF16949 and VW Standards compliance.
Where applicable the Planning Engineer is responsible for ensuring that Manufacturing Feasibility is evaluated in line with PEP.
Responsible for delivery of Quality Planning (APQP) processes and activities in Pre-series and Series Production ensuring internal and external audit compliance.
Responsible for manufacturing sign-off of Bid specs and product B-release in-line with project timings and PEP deliverables.
Identification of Facility, Jig, Fixture and Tooling requirements
Ensure continual updating of technical knowledge. E.g. Liaison with Group Colleagues, Benchmarking, Training etc.
Responsible for developing the settings/parameters of equipment and process
Responsible for implementing engineering change introduction within their zones
Management of permits and concessions
Lead the resolution of issues (EG: Feasibility, Process, Build Issues, Fixtures and tools) using the appropriate problem solving techniques and resources. Drive resolution through ...
