Job Title: Mental Health Teaching Assistant (SEN School)

We are a leading education agency, currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Teaching Assistant to join a Special Educational Needs (SEN) school in Poole. This role will commence in January 2025.
Responsibilities:
Support the mental health and emotional well-being of students in a classroom setting.
Assist students with special educational needs (SEN) in their learning and development.
Work closely with teachers and other support staff to provide tailored assistance.
Build positive relationships with students, helping them to develop confidence and resilience.
Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the teaching team.
Requirements:
Previous experience working with children or young people with mental health needs or SEN is essential.
A compassionate and patient approach.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
Relevant qualifications (e.g., Teaching Assistant certification or equivalent) are desirable but not mandatory.
