The Role
Continuous development and implementation of Manufacturing improvements in order to help improve productivity. Manufacturing improvements would include focus on Quality improvements working to strict Health and Safety guidelines. Successful applicant will report directly to the Engineering Manager and on-site training and guidance will be given. Successful applicants will have the opportunity to progress through suitable academic qualifications.
Key Duties:
* Develop current work instructions and create all work instructions for new products.
* Produce product work flow for each product identifying each operations time and function.
* Aiding with the implementation of New product Introduction including generation of SOP’s.
* Design and production of manufacturing lines and equipment for new product and to further improve production efficiencies in order to accommodate increasing demand.
* TPM and on-site repairs of any Plant equipment.
* New product testing and evaluation in order to improve Product Standard Times- closely working with other departments.
* Responsible for ensuring Plant equipment adheres to all Health and Safety legislation.
* Design and manufacture of jigs and fixtures to aid production efficiency.
* Fault finding and the creation of procedures to prevent quality faults.
* Excellent IT skills with the ability to create CNC programs and use of CAD systems.
* Project Manage improvement projects as required.

Experience and Person Specification:
Essential to the role is a high level of commitment and willingness to learn and develop new skills. The candidate will be expected to meet set deadlines and undertake production improvement projects with a great ability to work under pressure. Being able to take the role of leader and show excellent communication skills. A “can do “attitude is key to this role in order to overcome any issues arising throughout production.
Trained to a minimum of HNC in Manufacturing engineering or equivalent discipline.
Hours of Work:
07.30hrs to 15.30hrs, Monday to Friday with paid overtime as required.

Pay: £25,000.00-£27,000.00 per year
