What you will do
A vacancy has arisen for an Electrical Team Member to join the Engineering team based at the 20” Pipe Mill, Hartlepool.
We are looking for someone to provide first line expertise to our manufacturing areas as part of a small, multi-disciplined engineering team.
Reporting to the shift engineer, you’ll:
Assist the engineering team in carrying out preventative & reactive maintenance
Continuously maintain Health, Safety & Environmental standards, ensure safe working procedures are followed
Provide first line technical expertise and knowledge to identify and rectify faults to minimise plant downtime
Suggesting and implementing improvements to process control systems through collaboratively working with relevant peers
Possess a high quality of work, ensuring any deficiencies found are repaired expediently and are robust enough to prevent recurrence
This position will operate on shift pattern working 12 hour Days and Nights, 2 days, 2 nights and 4 days off.
What you will need
We want to speak to people that can bring a problem solving approach to their work. You’ll have completed an electrical apprenticeship, or possess a recognised electrical maintenance qualification (NVQ or similar). The successful candidate will ideally have a background in heavy engineering manufacturing, as well as possessing excellent interpersonal skills.
We’d also love to speak with individuals who have experience with:
Industrial/domestic wiring
Overhead Cranes & associated safety systems
PLC's in the main Siemens & Allen Bradley including HMI's
Expertise with AC and DC motor/gearbox drive systems of various configurations
Variable speed motor control with inverters and converters, including speed feedback devices
Interpret electrical drawings
Awareness of Safety related control systems
