Job Title: Shift Maintenance Engineer
Work shift: 24/7 - Dupont Shift Pattern

Summary:
In this role you will be participating in a wide range of maintenance engineering activities throughout our production and facility footprint. You will engage with colleagues at multiple levels and from several subject areas to work together and ensure we deliver an exciting and robust production facility to our clients.
You will take part and take accountability for planned and unplanned maintenance activities, utilising operational excellence and continuous improvement with the aim of improving equipment reliability and ensuring minimal equipment downtime.
Responsibilities:
1. During maintenance tasks, effectively engage problem solving and lean manufacturing techniques in collaboration with other stakeholders. Identify the true root cause of the issue and implement corrective actions.
2. Drive improvements across the maintenance team to improve efficiency, holding high standards of 5S, eliminating or reducing waste and/or non-value add activities.
3. Actively participate in upgrading and improving equipment, processes and engaging in small projects.
4. Support routine maintenance tickets that ensure equipment is maintained across site.
5. Complete GMP documentation to high standards, including highlighting errors or bad practices and making suggestions for improvements.
6. Support the progression of documentation, for example change controls through to completion.
7. Utilise external resources such as contractors or equipment specialists. Generate and complete the appropriate documentation (e.g. Purchase Orders, spares requests, quotations, work permits).
8. Have an awareness of engineering stores spares control.
9. Hold accountability for ensuring all personal activities are reliably closed on time, against agreed targets such as planned preventative maintenance task and training.
10. Work within classified areas such as clean rooms that require area specific dress code.
11. Write clear and accurate maintenance instructions. Assist with the organizing and delivering of training and/or instruction of engineering and non-engineering staff.
12. Provide cover for team members, such as Technical Support function and Engineering Coordinators.
EH&S:
For this role, it is important to understand emergency procedures and follow safe systems of work. Ensure compliance with EHS and security policies and procedures, rules, signage and instructions always. Conduct timely reporting and support investigation of all accidents, near misses and breaches of rules.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
We are searching for a skilled maintenance engineer with a good understanding of electrical control, automated systems, and manufacturing process equipment. A background in either mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, automation control systems or a combination of these is required.
A recognized qualification within engineering such as C&G, HNC/HND level and ideally undergone an engineering apprenticeship scheme. Previous experience within a manufacturing facility and a Pharmaceutical environment would be highly beneficial. Ability to problem solve within a team and on an individual basis.
We will support you to demonstrate you have the skill to perform to the standards required to obtain a cleanroom license. The ability to work to critical timelines and effective interpersonal skills are key to high level performance in this position. As we work within a GMP environment, alignment to these standards is critical.
