Effective communication with parents/guardians, external agencies, and colleagues within the curriculum and support teams is paramount. We are seeking an Advanced Technical Lecturer in Electrical and Electronic Engineering to join our team. The successful candidate will have the ability to translate industry-specific technical requirements into high-quality, subject-specific teaching within the high-demand sector of electrical engineering. Expertise in single-phase and three-phase systems, power transmission and generation, and control systems is essential. The ideal candidate will hold a minimum of a degree in electrical or electronic engineering and possess a strong industry background. A post-16 teaching qualification, alongside Level 2 qualifications in English and maths, is required or must be achieved within an agreed timeframe. Experience in delivering education and training in Further Education (FE), Higher Education (HE), and/or Apprenticeships is essential, as is a proven track record in effective teaching and assessment. The role requires the ability to deliver both theoretical and practical lessons to learners of varying abilities from Level 2 to Level 6, ensuring an engaging and supportive learning environment. Exceptional oral and written communication skills, coupled with strong digital literacy, are prerequisites. The ability to manage workload effectively, meet deadlines, and work flexibly, including evenings and weekends as required, is also crucial for success in this role.
