Job Title: Behavior Support Teaching Assistant
Location: Clitheroe, Lancashire (10 minutes drive outside of Clitheroe)
Position Type: Full-time, Term Time Only
Responsibilities:
1. Work closely with the identified Key Stage 2 child, providing one-on-one support to address challenging behavior and promote positive engagement.
2. Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to implement behavior management strategies and interventions tailored to the individual needs of the student.
3. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages the child's social and emotional development.
4. Maintain accurate records of the child's progress, behavior incidents, and interventions implemented.
Requirements:
5. Experience working with children in an educational or similar setting, preferably with a focus on behavior support.
6. A clear understanding of behavior management strategies and the ability to apply them effectively.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with teachers, parents, and external professionals.
8. Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting the holistic development of students.
9. Relevant qualifications or training in behavior support or a related field.
Qualifications:
10. Minimum of GCSEs in English and Mathematics (or equivalent).
11. Relevant training or qualifications in behavior support or a related field.
Working Hours:
12. Full-time position.
13. Term time only.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
