We’re looking for someone to work in our Gerrards Cross clinic as part of a team of multi disciplinary team of osteopaths, chiropractors and physiotherapists that work across our three clinics. Our Gerrards Cross clinic is 5m walk from the railway station and a 20m journey from Marylebone. Working in Gerrards Cross gives you the chance to escape the hustle and bustle of London, but with an easy commute and the same rate of pay. With a tranquil setting, there are lots of wonderful coffee shops and restaurants to enjoy on your breaks. There is also the possibility of working in our Amersham branch, our flagship clinic (see https://youtu.be/zEntUJuL5m0) and/or Beaconsfield.

There is the opportunity for structured CPD with other MSK physiotherapists, osteopaths and chiropractors.
Clinical Responsibilities
* To provide specialist neurological physiotherapy for patients with a variety of neurological conditions such as: Stroke, Acquired Brain Injury, Parkinson’s Disease, Motor Neurone Disease, Muscular Sclerosis and Cerebral Palsy.
* Complete all new patient assessments collaboratively and document appropriate treatment plans.
* To monitor, evaluate and modify treatment in order to measure progress and ensure the effectiveness of interventions.
* To discuss services and treatment options with patients, relatives and carers (as appropriate).
* To keep accurate and up-to-date patient records, reports and statistics at all times in line with professional and legal standards.
* To provide comprehensive assessments, associated costings and rehabilitation reports including recommendations for case managers and solicitors as required.
* To ensure that patients are involved in the planning and prioritisation of their rehabilitation plans wherever possible.
* To adapt practice to meet individual patients’ circumstances, including cultural, social, and linguistic differences in addition to their cognitive and physical disabilities.
* To demonstrate a high level of clinical effectiveness by use of evidence based practice.
* To assess capacity, gain informed consent and have the ability to work within a legal framework with patients who lack the capacity to consent to treatment.
Communication
* To use appropriate methods of communication with patients and carers to maximise rehabilitation potential and their understanding of the condition.
* To provide specialist and planned advice, teaching and instruction to relatives, carers and other professionals, to promote understanding of the aims of physiotherapy and to ensure a consistent approach to patient care.
* To work with a caseload of complex cases delivering excellent therapy and responding in a timely manner, liaising with colleagues for support/advice when a patient’s condition or situation changes.
Report Writing
* With support prepare reports for patients, case managers or solicitors.
Financial Responsibility
* To assess and identify equipment appropriate to a patient’s clinical need.
* As appropriate, to be aware of the limits/restrictions on funding from third parties.
* Where appropriate liaise with third parties.
Training and Professional Development
* To develop a Clinical Professional Development Portfolio and a Personal Development Plan according to professional standards.
* To comply with the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy codes of professional conduct at all times.
* To be responsible for personal continuous professional development by using reflective practice and active participation in any in-service training.
* To further develop the integration of evidence based practise, specialist neurological treatment techniques, therapeutic handling skills and specialist knowledge of particular conditions.
* To be responsible for fulfilling your agreed objectives and personal development plan.
* To be responsible for complying with all mandatory training requirements.

You must have a minimum of 2 years experience and be HCPC and CSP registered.
