Your new role
The Management Accountant, reporting to the Finance Director, will oversee the day-to-day financial management of the business. This role involves providing guidance on all financial aspects within the business, includingprehensive financial analysis for business planning and performance assessment. Responsibilities include:
1. Analyse financial information to support business profitability and growth.
2. Provide accurate management reporting for key decision-making.
3. Handle month-end and year-end journals.
4. Prepare monthly management accounts.
5. Bank reconciliations.
6. Contribute to annual budgeting and planning.
7. Produce financial statements including P&L accounts, cash flow and variance analysis
8. Ensurepliance with financial regulations.
What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate should possess an accounting qualification (such as CIMA, ACA, or ACCA) or relevant experience. Additionally, they should have technical accounting skills, familiarity with finance systems, and a thorough understanding of management information systems. Exceptional interpersonal skills are crucial, enabling successfulmunication with individuals at all levels, both financial and non-financial. Furthermore, the candidate should be highlypetent and demonstrate solidmercial acumen, along with a strong knowledge of Excel and, ideally, Dynamics 365. A collaborative nature and a positive approach are also essential.
