Peli BioThermal serves the pharmaceutical sector with temperature-controlled containers in a global rental business model. The service enables the global distribution of clinical trial and commercial pharmaceutical shipments with complete temperature control. Peli BioThermal owns the fleet of containers and makes them available to customers through a worldwide network of Service Centres and Network Stations. Pharmaceutical customers, or their transportation logistics providers, rent containers from these locations and return them to these locations or an extended network of Drop Points.
The Logistics Planner and Coordinator assist in the management of the container fleet, meeting the customers’ required container availability while ensuring that the container assets are efficiently utilized and network balancing costs are minimized.
This position provides an opportunity to make a substantial contribution to the distribution of life-saving medicines, impacting a global patient population.
Job Requirements
1. Forecast and planning to assist in securing the global availability of the rental container fleet.
2. Forecasting consolidated demand and proposing network station inventory levels.
3. Source and utilize multi-modal transportation solutions for global fleet balancing.
4. Tendering balancing shipments, negotiating rates and terms.
5. Develop operational relationships with partner airlines, freight forwarders and couriers.
6. Ensuring data accuracy in the Logistics Management System.
7. Liaising with Customer Services, Network Partners and third-party warehousing for stock reports.
8. Ensuring fleet status is accurate to asset level.
9. Preparation of monthly transaction and KPI reports.
10. Update database with day-to-day activities.
11. Raise contracts and purchase orders on SAP.
12. Following company policies and practices as outlined in the Employee Handbook and/or applicable employment agreement. Following safety guidelines and procedures in accordance with the job.
13. Performs additional duties as assigned.
What you'll need to be successful:
1. Experience in international logistics across multiple modes of transport: land, sea, air, rail.
2. Working knowledge of customs regulations.
3. Practical experience of MS Office, particularly Excel.
4. Currently using SAP or experience of SAP or similar MRP/ERP system.
Qualifications include:
1. Minimum of 5 years experience in logistics planning and coordination.
2. Languages advantageous.
