Detailed job description and main responsibilities
The post holder will support and input into the production of monthly and annual management accounts, including:
* Correctly coding a large volume of supplier invoices on a daily basis
* Maintaining Budget Managers document showing correct approvers for each cost centre
* Investigating variances and resolving discrepancies, liaising with internal and external parties as necessary.
* Discussion with staff regarding confidential and sensitive financial issues and offering financial advice where possible.
* Participating with interfaces and journals to input and manipulate financial data onto Finance Systems.

Essential criteria
* Relevant finance experience in a large organisation.
* Experience of preparing and maintaining accounting records
* Use of relevant software packages
* Preparation of management accounts
Desirable criteria
* Previous NHS Accounting Experience
* Knowledge of E Financials
* Knowledge of Oracle Financials
* Knowledge of Electronic Staff Record
Qualifications
Essential criteria
* AAT full membership (i.e. exams plus portfolio of minimum one year's work experience)
* CCAB/CIMA Certificate level or Honours degree
Desirable criteria
* Commitment towards completing CCAB/CIMA qualification
