The Bristol Haematology & Oncology Centre (BHOC) within UHBW provides high quality care for a range of malignant & non-malignant conditions for the population of Bristol, Weston-Super-Mare & the wider region as a tertiary & specialist centre.
As a Specialty Manager for the hospital, along with the Clinical Leads, Matrons & Divisional Management Team, you will provide leadership for the service. You will be responsible for:
1. Day to day operational management of your specialty
2. Professional leadership in your specialty
3. Leading on service development & driving delivery of the specialties vision
4. Ensuring that we have the right workforce to deliver safe, high quality care for our patients
5. Managing delegated budgets & identifying & implementing cost improvement opportunities
6. Leading on governance, quality & patient safety ensuring that complaints, incidents & risks are managed in line with Trust policy

Due to the distribution of services across Bristol & Weston, there may be a requirement for regular travel to the Weston & Bristol sites of the service.
This role is also part of the Divisional Silver bed flow rota & therefore flexibility in working hours is required on a rotational basis to accommodate this responsibility.
