About The Role

We create a safe place in schools where children and young people can open up without pressure or stigma, allowing our highly skilled and diverse counsellors to reach children, young people and their families who need us.
As the Head of Community & Challenge Events, you will lead a team of five within our dedicated Fundraising Team. Your primary goal will be to deliver a target of £650,000 in 2024/25 and drive forward income and activity through key events such as Children’s Mental Health Week and the London Marathon. We are looking for a natural leader and an excellent relationship builder with experience in devising and implementing successful business plans.
Key Responsibilities:
* Fundraising: Develop and deliver the annual plan to increase team income, ensuring alignment with Place2Be’s overall business plan. Oversee new business activities and ensure all activities are rigorously evaluated.
* Key Relationships: Build and maintain excellent relationships with key supporters, internal stakeholders, and networks of contacts.
* Finance and Reporting: Deliver the Community and Events programme within budget, monitor income and expenditure, and provide clear monthly reports.
* Leadership: Lead and develop a talented team, set targets, and ensure team members meet their objectives and grow in their roles.
What You Will Need:
* Proven experience of achieving six-figure income targets.
* Ability to envision and drive forward growth through strategic planning.
* Leadership and management experience with a commitment to staff development.
* Extensive project management experience in mass participation income-generating activities.
* Strong understanding of finance and budget management.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to build effective partnerships.
* Entrepreneurial skills with a flexible, ‘can-do’ approach.
