Contract: Fixed term contract, until 31 December 2026
This role is designed to provide support and advice to the Gypsy, Roma and Traveller Communities (GRT) on a range of issues including debt, benefits, housing, income maximisation, discrimination, and energy. We are looking for a Project Worker to deliver high quality advice and support via a range of channels including face to face and telephone advice. Your role will include liaising with other agencies to ensure your clients have access to a wide range of services to support their needs.
A good understanding of related topics including welfare benefits, housing, employment, and family issues will be necessary in this role, which would be ideal for an experienced or newly qualified adviser. It would also be helpful to have an understanding of the GRT communities.
A clear commitment to client care and a high level of organisation and self-motivation, along with maintaining high advice quality standards is essential. You’ll have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, confidence, an empathetic manner, and a good grasp of IT. You’ll work independently as well as part of the team within Citizens Advice Swale.
