Job Description
I have an opportunity for a Senior/Principal Safety Engineer to join a client who is an established independent risk management consultancy. Their aim is to assist their clients meet the advancing needs of the energy and infrastructure industries.
They are on the lookout for highly motivated and dynamic nuclear engineers, ideally with 6+ years experience to join their Bristol/London teams. You will be supporting the delivery of technical engineering, safety case and project management to a variety of major projects.
You will also play a pivotal role in mentoring more junior members of the team alongside having the opportunity to support the development of wider company initiative - such as industry networking, developing training courses, working ibn collaboration with other sectors within the business including transport, oil & gas, defence.
Key responsibilities for this Safety Engineer role:
- Leading the delivery of major safety cases.
- Providing specialist technical input and advice to resolve complex problems.
- Facilitating hazard identification and optioneering workshops.
- Production of formal technical reports, safety cases and other project deliverables on time and to budget.
- Implementation of modifications to plant including undertaking plant obsolescence assessments, authoring specifications for new equipment, review design proposals and produce design substantiation reports.
- Support to plant operability, including condition monitoring and identification of plant faults, supporting equipment reliability reviews and reviewing maintenance routines.
- Management of projects, project teams and interfacing with clients.

Due to the nature of the work, the candidates must have a suitable background that will allow them to achieve UK security clearance to a minimum level of BPSS (please note that this is very difficult to achieve within the timescales for non-UK nationals and you will be subject to a screening process prior to interview to ensure that you meet the security clearance criteria).
