Main duties of the job
As our Executive Director of Nursing, you will provide professional leadership - and will be a visible role model - for our 7,000 nurses, midwives and AHPs as we continue to develop, ensuring that patient safety, quality of care and the experience of patients and their families are central to all we do. You will champion a professional and open culture which empowers staff to consistently deliver quality care with compassion, whilst taking a leading role in tackling our challenges. With prior board level experience, you will be an inclusive and values-based individual, experienced in leading complex organisations and service improvement.
Job responsibilities
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Services to check for any previous criminal convictions. 1. First level Registered Nurse with the NMC.
2. Appropriate Leadership or Management qualifications to Master Level or equivalent experience. (desirable).

1. Demonstrable and successful recent experience at Board Director level or equivalent in a similarly complex organisation or system.
2. Experienced, compassionate and inclusive manager with a proven track record of outstanding leadership and management of nursing and clinical services.

4. Experience of successfully implementing internal change programmes including clinical system redesign, clinical practice changes, cultural change and cost efficiency.
