Maintenance Team Leader (Heavy Plant)
Hunter James Recruitment are assisting our client - a well-established organisation within the Heavy Plant Sector with their search for a Maintenance Team Leader (Heavy Plant) to join their fantastic team within their site in Leicester.
THE ROLE:
1. Day to day management of the Engineering department.
2. Improve and optimize on standards / performance of the service team through effective performance management and development.
3. Cultivate successful business culture focused on customer service excellence, customer retention and new business for both workshop and parts.
4. Optimize and improve customer service standards and ensure the departments run in accordance with company standards and key performance indicators.
5. Operating to achieve a very high KPI standard / Breakdown results whilst maintaining the company's standard at all times.
6. Increase efficiency, effectiveness and profitability of the depots.
7. Regularly review resources in order to meet all servicing requirements to ensure that key performance indicators are met - consistently reviewing labour efficiency, labour sales, cost of sales, debtors.
8. Carry out internal audits to ensure depots are fully compliant in terms of both ISO and Health & Safety.
9. Reporting directly to directors and keeping all parties updated with constant communication.
10. Maximize commercial opportunities through developing and implementing campaigns within specific market sectors.
11. Advise on the need for investment if and when required within the depots.
12. Arrange and attend regular depot meetings to allow for a clear communication channel as well as building great team relationships.
THE CANDIDATE
1. Experience in leading, managing and developing teams.
2. Experience within the Heavy Plant / Civils Machinery is ideal.
3. Excellent communication skills at all levels.
4. Good organisational skills.
5. An approachable personality.
6. Ability to focus efforts and prioritise work.
7. Attention to detail.
8. Client-facing experience being able to manage client expectations.
9. Ability to work to tight deadlines under pressure.
