Retail Marketing Manager
£50,000 + Car
Derby – Hybrid – 2 days per week in the office + travel requirements
Forward Role have currently partnered with a leading UK omnichannel car retailer specialising in nearly new cars, is seeking a new Localised Retail Marketing Manager! This is an exciting opportunity to join a company undergoing a massive digital transformation and expanding across the UK. You will report to the Head of Brand and act as the voice and champion of the stores and customers within the wider Digital/Marketing Team. You will develop and implement strategies to drive awareness and market share for each store, ensuring the delivery of marketing materials and activations.
About the role:
1. Analyse local catchment areas, identifying trends, competitor activity, and store performance to create effective local store strategies.
2. Provide the wider team with insights and strategies to activate local media plans.
3. Drive sales performance by identifying opportunities, proposing and implementing new promotional activities.
4. Collaborate with commercial and web development teams to ensure activities are commercially viable and can be delivered across various platforms.
5. Create and maintain an annual tactical trading calendar to drive sales.
6. Manage customer footfall data, ensuring proper implementation, maintenance, and reporting.
7. Oversee in-store signage, POS and marketing materials to support sales processes and customer experience.
8. Ensure timely product and proposition updates across the department.
9. Produce weekly and quarterly performance reports and insights.
10. Build strong relationships with store teams, keeping them informed of all local marketing activities and performance.
11. Manage external agencies and suppliers.
What they are looking for:
12. Experience in local retail marketing with an understanding of various marketing channels.
13. Proficiency in data analysis from platforms like GA, Facebook Business, Google Search Console, and company dashboards.
14. Experience in POS/signage from concept to execution.
15. Strong relationship-building and stakeholder influencing skills.
16. Experience in briefing and producing creative artwork.
17. Budget and agency/supplier management experience.
18. Automotive industry experience is ideal, but retail experience in another sector will be considered.
19. Confident communicator comfortable interacting with colleagues at all levels.
20. Adaptable to a fast-paced environment with multiple projects.
21. Friendly, enthusiastic, and willing to travel regularly within the UK (full driving license and car required).
