Maintenance Surveyor opportunity for large social housing provider.
Due to increased workload, a large social housing provider has a requirement for a response repairs surveyor on a permanent basis.
As a Maintenance Surveyor, your role will be to inspect and assess the condition of buildings and infrastructure, create maintenance plans, and oversee the execution of maintenance and repair works. You will play a critical role in ensuring that all properties and facilities are well-maintained, comply with relevant regulations, and operate efficiently.
Responsibilities:
Property Inspections:
* Conduct regular inspections of buildings, facilities, and infrastructure to assess their condition and identify maintenance requirements.
* Document and report findings, including defects, deficiencies, and areas for improvement.
* Prioritise maintenance tasks based on urgency, safety, and impact on operations.
Budgeting and Cost Control:
* Assist in the preparation of maintenance budgets.
* Monitor and control maintenance expenses to ensure cost-effective operations.
* Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements without compromising quality and safety.
Compliance and Regulations:
* Stay up-to-date with relevant regulations, codes, and standards pertaining to building maintenance and safety.
* Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and industry best practices.
* Conduct risk assessments and implement appropriate mitigation measures.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
* Collaborate with internal teams, including property management, operations, and finance, to ensure effective coordination of maintenance activities.
* Liaise with external stakeholders, such as contractors, suppliers, and regulatory authorities.
* Respond to maintenance-related inquiries and provide technical advice and guidance as needed.
Reporting and Documentation:
* Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
* Prepare reports and presentations on maintenance performance, highlighting key metrics and recommendations for improvement.
* Contribute to the development of maintenance policies, procedures, and guidelines.
