Freelance Site Manager
Location: Woking (must be local, within a 30-minute commute)
Contract Length: 1 year
Start Date: Targeted for 11th November
Rate: Up to £230/day, negotiable based on experience
Role Overview
Join a reputable construction firm known for delivering high-quality residential projects. This role requires a proactive Site Manager to oversee daily operations for a one-year residential project. You will be crucial in ensuring smooth site functionality, especially on Mondays and Fridays when the Project Manager (PM) is off-site. Strong experience managing independently is essential.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead and manage the site team to achieve project objectives within agreed timelines and budgets.
2. Develop and implement effective project plans, ensuring alignment with company standards and regulatory requirements.
3. Foster a culture of safety and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations on site.
4. Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders to maintain clear communication and promptly resolve any issues.
5. Monitor project progress through regular site inspections to uphold quality standards.
6. Manage project budgets effectively, implementing cost control measures.
Ideal Candidate Profile
1. Trade Background: Proven track record in site management with a focus on bricklaying or carpentry.
2. Strong Understanding: In-depth knowledge of construction processes, project management methodologies, and relevant regulations.
3. Certifications: Relevant certifications (SMSTS, CSCS) and a valid first aid certificate are desirable.
4. Local Availability: Within a 30-minute commute of Woking.
