What does a great THOR Sales & Marketing Manager do? THOR is a global, market leading hotel and car consortia programme. As part of the Hotel & Car team, Travel Partners, you will be responsible for maximizing THOR’s sales and marketing by developing sales growth plans, marketing plans, producing marketing materials, building new connections, and maximizing profit. The role will serve as the primary day-to-day THOR marketing contact for the hotel & car partners and will involve initiative-taking and creative thinking to drive the commercial success of these partnerships. Responsibilities include: Developing and owning a sales and marketing strategy for THOR, with the goal of growing the programme and value delivered to Partners and THOR member agencies alike. Articulate the value proposition of THOR Consortia Programme to hotel & car partners to secure hotel participation, agency engagement, marketing dollars and maximum revenue. Serve as the Partner’s primary day to day marketing contact and demonstrate willingness and ability to communicate at multiple levels within supplier organizations. Develop, monitor, and communicate marketing plans and key performance metrics. This includes the production of customer facing marketing material, communications and reporting, internally and externally. Work hand-in-glove with the Hotel and Car team and organize and coordinate ongoing THOR calls, quarterly customer reviews and analysis of performance against pre-determined KPIs and marketing plans to optimize programs, along with producing all supporting materials. Understand customer’s business and technology and be able to utilize customer perspective to frame the opportunity, and advocate for, greater penetration of the THOR programs Work closely with Travelport marketing and digital media teams, along with global and regional hotel, car, and agency teams to support overall objectives. Effectively represent THOR at conferences, fairs, and other meetings to promote THORs suite of products. Ensure that all service issues are directed appropriately, and all stakeholders are kept abreast of status. Who we are looking for in this role: Minimum 3 years’ experience in the travel consortia industry, ideally in a multinational sales & marketing role, including experience in negotiation, sales/business development of key strategic accounts. Proven ability to create marketing material to the highest level. An initiative-taker that is highly motivated and a strong negotiator.
