Computer Science/Specialists - Trowbridge, BA14
Protocol Education are working with secondary schools in the Wiltshire area to appoint enthusiastic and committed Computer Teachers/Specialists. With that in mind, we are looking for individuals who carry a passion for Computer Science, working with young people and making a positive impact on their lives and education.
Although QTS would be preferred, school will accept subject specialists or those with experience working with young people or in education in another capactity.
Start Date: 6th January 2025
Closing Date: 29th November 2024
Qualified Teachers paid to scale
Unqualified - based on experience
Job Duties:
Plan, prepare and deliver engaging Computer Science lessons to students - If unqualified, there will be no planning and marking. This will be prepared and done for you.
Assess and evaluate student progress and provide feedback
Develop and implement effective teaching strategies to enhance learning
Establish a positive and supportive learning environment
Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and student support
Required Qualifications:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - Preferred but not essential
Degree/Experience in an English or related field
Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum for English language and literature
Experience:
Proven experience teaching Science at secondary school level is preferred
Experience working with Children/Young People within education
Demonstrated ability to engage and motivate students
Knowledge and Skills:
Excellent understanding of Computer Science concepts and principles
Effective classroom management skills
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
Preferred Qualifications:
Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) with English specialism
Experience working with students of diverse backgrounds and abilitiess
