Position: Counselling Lecturer
Location: Greater Manchester
Hours: full time - 36 hours per week paid
Salary: 30 per hour
Eden Brown are looking for a Counselling lecturer on behalf of a leading College in Greater Manchester. This is a full time, temporary ongoing role.
As a Temporary Counselling Lecturer, you will deliver high-quality teaching across our counselling programs, ensuring students are equipped with the academic knowledge, practical skills, and ethical understanding necessary for a successful career in counselling. You will be responsible for planning, teaching, and assessing modules, as well as offering academic guidance and support to students.
Key Responsibilities
1. Deliver engaging and inspiring lectures and workshops to counselling students.
2. Develop and update course materials to reflect current trends and practices in counselling.
3. Provide academic support and mentorship to students.
4. Mark assignments, provide constructive feedback, and ensure timely grading.
5. Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the success and continuous improvement of the counselling program.
6. Maintain records of students' progress and participate in course evaluation and development activities.
Qualifications and Experience
1. A recognised qualification in Counselling (minimum Level 4 or above).
2. Professional membership with a recognised body (e.g., BACP, UKCP).
3. Proven experience as a practising counsellor.
4. Teaching qualification (PGCE or equivalent) or willingness to work towards one.
5. Previous teaching experience.
6. Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
