Job Title: Land Manager Location: Glasgow About the Team A growing renewable energy development and delivery company is looking to expand its operations. The team specializes in identifying renewable energy project opportunities, securing grid connections, land agreements, and obtaining planning approvals for high-quality projects. The team oversees all project stages, from initial development to construction and long-term operations, with a current pipeline of approximately 6 GW across solar, wind, and battery sectors. While initially focused on the UK, the organization has expanded into the Nordic region, establishing development teams in Sweden and Finland to pursue additional opportunities. Role Overview The position involves leading the land acquisition efforts for renewable energy projects (wind, solar, and storage) as part of the Glasgow-based team. Key responsibilities include: Identifying and engaging with landowners to secure agreements. Conducting feasibility assessments and negotiating agreements such as leases, options, and wayleaves. Managing legal processes for agreement registration and documentation. Mentoring and managing junior team members. Additional responsibilities include managing networks of land agents and legal advisors, team reporting, and collaboration with planning and engineering disciplines. Skills and Experience Required The ideal candidate will have: Relevant qualifications in land, legal, or planning (minimum degree level). 3 years of experience in renewable energy projects (solar PV, wind, battery storage). Proven expertise in land assembly, managing budgets, and stakeholder relationships. Familiarity with planning, consenting, and tender processes.
