Our Programme Advisory team has had significant success in the infrastructure market over the last year, making us one of the fastest-growing parts of the organisation with ambitious plans for further growth.
The advisory team supports our Complex Infrastructure clients in setting up, assessing, and transforming some of the largest and most complex programmes in the UK and beyond, within our Nuclear, Aviation, Defence, Water, Transportation, Power & Renewables sectors.

We are looking for an Associate Director to join our team who is passionate about making a positive change within Client PMOs by influencing and delivering. Our roles span multiple industry sectors and involve some of the most high-profile complex programmes within the UK. You will be enthusiastic about working with multi-disciplinary teams and in different client environments with diverse challenges.
This role will provide you with the opportunity to work across various programmes, with the support of some of the most experienced teams across the global AtkinsRéalis business, to develop your own growth journey.
What you can bring:
1. Programme Lifecycle: Extensive experience of working across the programme lifecycles to set up and deliver within major transformational PMOs.
2. People Leadership: Day-to-day management of large multi-disciplinary teams.
3. Maturity Assessment: Ability to carry out assurance and assessments of PMOs capabilities and maturity.
4. PMO Set Up: Ability to design, develop and implement a PMO inclusive of people, process, and systems.
5. Strategic Advice: Deliver strategic advisory services for PMO transformations including organisation design, project design and management, improving efficiencies and performance.
6. Stakeholder Management: Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to tailor messages and liaise directly with clients or audiences, including facilitating multi-media workshops (in person, virtual, or hybrid).
7. Analytical Skills: Logical thinker with strong analytical skills and the ability to collect, organise, analyse, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
8. Pro-active Approach: High personal motivation and drive, able to thrive in complex and ever-changing environments.
9. Leading Change: Demonstrable evidence of leading/supporting change initiatives and achieving tangible results in ambiguous environments.
10. Relationship Building: Able to build lasting relationships with clients and team members.
11. Technical Excellence: Industry-recognised specialist in leading successful PMOs for complex infrastructure projects.
12. Professional Certification: Hold relevant certifications such as APM PMQ/PPQ/ChPP; MoP; MSP; PRINCE2, P3O, PROSCI, Lean, Six Sigma.

Security clearance:
This role may require security clearance, and offers of employment will be dependent on obtaining the relevant level of clearance. If necessary, this will be discussed with you at interview. The vetting process is delivered by United Kingdom Security Vetting (UKSV) and may require candidates to provide proof of residency in the UK for 5 years or longer.
