Purchase Ledger Clerk

* Job Type: Full-time (40 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm)
* Annual Salary: £27,000 per annum
We are seeking a dedicated Purchase Ledger Clerk to join our Client,
This role involves undertaking all routine purchase ledger administrative tasks accurately and efficiently. You will report directly to the Finance Manager and work closely with the Credit Controller and Finance Administrator.
Day-to-day of the role:
1. Organise, register, match, and post purchase ledger invoices with high accuracy and in a timely manner.
2. Address issues by corresponding with internal departments and external suppliers to obtain resolutions.
3. Respond to supplier queries and reconcile supplier statements to check for omissions or discrepancies.
4. Compile necessary information for payment runs to be processed by the Finance Manager.
5. Ensure supplier payment terms are met, including early payment terms where relevant.
6. Report to management on issues encountered and the status of invoice processing.
7. Maintain up-to-date records through scanning and shredding of documents/invoices/statements, and remittance advices.
8. Provide cover for other roles within the department as needed and perform ad hoc duties that may arise.
