JOB OVERVIEW An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, creative and confident Learning Support Assistant to support teaching and learning at Thringstone Primary School. This role is varied, and will include supporting individual children with specific needs in the classroom. We are looking for an adaptable, flexible and resourceful individual able to cope and deal with constantly changing priorities. JOB REQUIREMENTS: • Have experience of working in a primary school
• Have a good level of English and Mathematics with GCSE qualifications or NVQ3
• Have high expectations to promote learning
• Demonstrate excellent classroom practice
• Work within a hardworking, dedicated team
• Have the ability to adapt supportive practice depending on specific needs
• Have a good sense of humourYou will be acting as a role model for the children in school and will be working in partnership with the class teacher and the rest of the staff, so it’s vital that you have good reading, writing and numeracy skills. Great communication skills are a must too as you’ll need to be able to communicate well with staff, pupils and parents. Good organisational skills, patience, flexibility, creativity and an ability to build positive relationships are also essential to this role.
