The Senior Director, Business Operations (DBO) is a key partner for the IDM President, working to maximize the performance and efficiency of the business on a global scale, ensuring alignment the broader Biopharma organization and engaging as a full member of the IDM Leadership Team. ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES Work to progress business strategy and monitor and maximize performance through the alignment and cascade of goals, implementation of appropriate metrics, prioritization and efficient use of investments and communication of results in partnership with the BP, Finance and the LT. Drive operational efficiency and simplicity by ensuring fit for purpose business processes. Examples include but are not limited to operations of the office of the BP, the annual Op Plan, Strategic planning, market/site visits and business reviews. Accountable for the efficient governance of key meetings and communication owned by the BP’s office including the LT meetings. This includes fit for purpose attendance, decision-oriented agendas, capture, tracking and follow up of action items and working with the BPs Assistant to ensure seamless planning and logistics. Delivery of Board Reports, quarterly ELT reports, quarterly Earnings Reports and adhoc Investors Relations requests through proactive gathering of information, ensuring quality and timely submissions. Act as a key enabler in building a strong culture and driving the BP’s agenda, Pfizer’s purpose and values through partnerships with Communications, HR PX and others ensuring optimal understanding and uptake across the organization. This includes activities such as an annual communications plan, Town Halls, blogs, recognition, survey action planning, etc. Be an accelerator by ensuring alignment within the business and IDM Commercial Office, participating on or leading special projects, leveraging an extensive network to seek out and apply learnings for greater efficiency or faster impact and ensuring effective use of resources. Enhance the effectiveness of the BP by proactively taking on work and adding value in ways such as preparation and review of presentations, briefing documents, speaker prep, triaging and responding to questions and requests, organizing and prioritizing materials for review, etc. When needed work in partnership with the DBOs across BioPharma, on enterprise wide initiatives. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree required. Advanced degree preferred. Broad knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry and healthcare environment; knowledge of the unique dynamics within IDM is helpful but not required. Extensive Commercial Pharma experience; prior marketing experience preferred. Familiarity with strategic and operating planning processes. Exceptional interpersonal skills and mastery of working in a matrix environment. Demonstrated strong analytical skills and strategic mindset. Track record of strong networking and working collaboratively across functions and geographies. Role model for the PFE Values (Courage, Excellence, Equity and Joy). Executive presence and ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization. Strong writing, presentation and influencing skills. Ability to work under pressure, to take accountability and meet deadlines. Strong project and time management and organizational skills.
