A new opportunity has arisen at Hamilton Specialist Referrals for a Specialist in Small Animal Surgery to join our team to help develop our soft tissue service in our state-of-the-art multi-disciplinary referral hospital. You will be joining a dynamic team of two outstanding surgical specialists. Hamilton Specialist Referrals was born of the belief that there is room for a new wave of veterinary excellence across the UK. There is a strong focus on providing a personal and reassuring client experience from first contact through to discharge. Excellent clinical care delivered in a friendly and supportive manner to referring vets is paramount to the team. The hospital is operational 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and can offer the most advanced treatment options available for orthopaedic, neurology, soft tissue, oncology and internal medicine cases. Facilities include on-site 1.5T MRI and CT scanner suites, a variety of joint replacement systems, electro diagnostics, and a full complement of the latest radiography and arthroscopy equipment. In addition, the hospital has a dedicated physiotherapy and rehabilitation department, which includes aqua treadmills and computerised gait analysis technology.
Hours aimed to achieve a work-life balance
A full-time position involves a 40-hour week over 4 days with a regular day off each week. We are looking for applicants who are willing to contribute towards our 1:4 weekend surgical rota including 1 weekday evening on call. We are open to discussing part-time options as well (3 days per week).
Applicant Requirements
We invite applications from all ECVS / ACVS boarded specialists in small animal surgery who have previous experience of working in a multi-discipline referral hospital.
