About the role
ABC Teachers is recruiting Secondary General Cover Teachers to work across a variety of secondary schools in Stoke-on-Trent and the surrounding areas from January 2024. This role is ideal for teachers who are experienced in delivering lessons across multiple subjects. You will provide essential cover for absent teachers, ensuring students receive consistent, high-quality education. Whether you are seeking full-time, part-time, or supply teaching roles, we can accommodate your needs.
Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality lessons across various subjects using pre-prepared resources.
Manage classroom behavior and ensure students remain engaged with their learning.
Adapt to different school environments and follow school policies and procedures.
Support students in their learning, answering questions and providing guidance.
Liaise with school staff to ensure continuity in teaching and learning.

Requirements
To be considered for the role of General cover teacher- January start you will:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with experience teaching in secondary schools.
Flexibility to cover a range of subjects at KS3 and KS4 levels.
Strong classroom management skills and the ability to build rapport with students
Previous experience in general cover teaching is highly desirable.
A DBS check on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with experience teaching in secondary schools.
