Join a leading rail project in Europe as a System Safety Engineer. This permanent role is critical to the safety of the construction and running of the project.
* Enable Phase One projects to comply with Railways (Interoperability) Regulations and CSM-RA.
* Manage risk assessments, plan, run, and write up risk workshops for specific discipline areas.
* Develop reports to justify and explain safety assessment results within the organisation and to independent assessment bodies.
* Support the project wide Hazard Record, analysing hazards and compliance evidence to satisfy CSM-RA.
* Manage interfaces to the AsBo/NoBo, supporting contractors during independent assessments and evidence flow to demonstrate CSM-RA compliance.
* Contribute to strategic plans and governance documents.
* Knowledge of CSM-RA regulation, hazard identification, and analysis techniques, and hazard management through hazard records.
* Working knowledge of HAZOP, Fault Tree, and Event Tree analysis in a railway environment.
* Knowledge of engineering safety management and compliance with EU and UK law.
* Experience in engineering safety management, compliance with EU and UK law, and delivering evidence of system safety in a safety critical environment.
* Experience in major rail infrastructure upgrade projects or consultancy experience in producing assessment and deliverables for a project of this scale.
* Manage a large supply chain, ensure safe and compliant integration of the future railway, and interface with different parts of the organisation.
* Produce and/or review detailed hazard records and complex risk assessments, and identify non-compliances to CSM-RA.
This is an excellent hybrid role based in London or Birmingham, 2 days a week.
