What skills and experience we're looking for
NVQ level 3 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent qualification and experience together with a working knowledge of national curriculum, early years curriculum and other relevant learning programmes/strategies.
Experience of working with young people or adults in a school.
Good communications skills, written and oral
Excellent numeracy and literacy skills
Competent with computers and other technology
Able to understand and implement strategies and methods to help students make good progress
Strong behaviour management skills

Oak Grange Nursery and Primary School is a new school in the Boulton Moor/Chellaston area of Derby City. Situated between Field Lane and Snelsmoor Lane it will serve the existing Fellowlands estate in Chellaston and the new Snelsmoor Lane development. The school opened to nursery and reception children in September 2023. From September 2025 we will have children in the following classes:
