As an SEN Class Teacher, your role will involve being a mentor and role model, helping secure the very best outcomes they deserve. This fantastic opportunity has become available as the school continues to drive its core ambition to offer an excellent education to all children.
This role is on a full-time permanent basis.
Key duties include:
- Working towards the aims set out in each child's EHCP
- Implement and deliver an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum for pupils and to support a designated curriculum area as appropriate
- Work towards the aims set out in each child's EHCP
- Monitor and support the overall progress and development of pupils as a teacher
- Facilitate and encourage a learning experience which provides pupils with the opportunity to achieve their individual potential
- Contribute to raising standards of pupil attainment
- Share and support the school's responsibility to provide and monitor opportunities for personal growth and enjoyment
The successful candidate will:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience working in a Special Educational Needs (SEN) or SEMH environment.
- Have experience working with 'vulnerable' young people and families
- A strong understanding of SEMH needs and effective support strategies.
- Be flexible and approachable, remain resilient under pressure and show a positive and energetic attitude to work.
- Team Teach training (preferred but not essential).
- A commitment to ensuring the best outcomes for students and promoting a positive school culture.
