West SILC - Schools
Hours: Full Time
Contract Type: Temporary - 12 Months, in the first instance.
This is an exciting opportunity to recruit 2 full time SEND Navigators at Grade C3 (£28,966 - £30,617) to join the SILC cluster on a fixed term 12 month temporary contract.
These are exciting new posts that will influence policy and practice on a national level to improve outcomes for Children and young people with SEND.
The posts will be based within the SILC cluster working within early help supporting families following a Neuro diverse assessment and prior to an Education Health Care Plan. For more information about the SILC cluster click here.
Families tell us they can find it difficult to navigate a pathway to best support their child or young person and they often have to repeat their story to different professionals. You will be instrumental in supporting these families to receive the right support at the right time from the right people and will be an excellent communicator with children, families, and professionals.
You may have personal experience of supporting a child with SEND or professional experience. SEND experience is preferable but not essential as you will be supported by the SILC cluster team in your day to day role. Full training and support will be offered as part of your personal and professional development.
If you are passionate about supporting Children & Families, have what it takes to make a difference, and if you’re the kind of person to go the extra mile, this could be the job for you!
We support flexible working arrangements and a blended model of home and office working. We would support secondment arrangements from substantive employers.
The successful candidate will be based along with other members of the SILC Cluster team at their office in the East of the city. The post will involve some work in the home & in other venues such as schools. The post will require some lone working and on occasion visiting outside of core hours as required. It would be of benefit to be a car user.
For further details or an informal discussion please contact Donna Wheelhouse at 07562439071 or Hannah Elliott at 07891 272035 at the SILC cluster.
Closing date: 28th June, interviews scheduled for 11th July.
