We have experienced year-on-year growth across all five divisions: Access & Safety, Electrical Services, Building Access Specialists, Fire Solutions and Water Treatment. This has been achieved through a combination of organic growth and the strategic acquisition of businesses that add greater scope and value to our services. PTSG are looking for a Business Development Manager to secure new clients and additional business with existing corporate clients who potentially require multiple PTSG services through high quality tendering and effective end-to-end sales leadership. Key Accountabilities (major end results the job is expected to achieve): Proactively use market intelligence to identify and then tender for significant opportunities that need to be managed at a Group level given the services required. Own and lead tender submissions including project planning and pipeline management with the support of the Group Sales Director. This requires collaborative working across Divisions, ensuring good information share and clear expectation setting. Support the Group Sales Director with commercial negotiations and renegotiations for bids and tenders, working closely with Divisional Sales, Operations and other key stakeholders. Contribute to the development and maintenance of a Sales and Tender Management system that can act as a central depositary where information required for quotations and tenders across the Group can be stored, accessed and easily updated. This includes the Schedule of Rates, relevant documents from the Health & Safety Management System, answers to FAQ on Pre-Qualification Questionnaires, Case Studies etc. Role Dimensions: Typically involved in business opportunities that are truly multi disciplined and generally managed by Procurement within the FM arena, or Direct clients. Role is targeted at a Group level, but there will also be critical objectives that require collaborative, partnership selling with the Divisions Although Group Sales will often take the lead with larger corporate contracts, they may fulfil a support role if customer expectation and the situation dictate a Divisional sales lead Person Profile (Qualifications, Knowledge, Skill and Experience): Industry knowledge across a number of PTSG services is ideally required Significant new business sales experience is essential Experience of bid writing and tender preparation submission is essential Strong customer relationship builder skilled at influencing and negotiating Proven track record of achieving and exceeding targeted business results/KPI’s Experience of project work including demonstrating successful process improvement Energy, commitment and a positive attitude to achieving results If you are looking for a Business Development Director role where you are solely focused on your own targets and generating new clients, please submit your application.
