Due to our continued growth, we are now seeking a skilled and motivated Multi-Skilled Mobile Electrical Engineer to join our team. Job Description:
As a Multi-Skilled Mobile Electrical Engineer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing electrical systems across a variety of sites. Your key responsibilities will include:
1. Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM): Undertake routine PPM tasks, ensuring all maintenance is performed on time and to the highest standards.
2. Reactive Repairs: Respond promptly to reactive electrical issues and carry out necessary repairs.
3. Electrical Installations: Assist with new electrical installations as required.
4. Call-out Rota: Be part of a call-out rota (1 week in every 6) after the initial training period.
5. Documentation: Complete all required documentation accurately, ensuring all reactive tasks are reported and logged onto the CAFM system.
6. Building Maintenance Support: Provide support for general building maintenance when required.
Skills and Experience:
Essential:
1. City & Guilds 18th Edition Electrical Qualification.
2. Electrical Inspection & Testing (City & Guilds 2391) - preferred, but not mandatory.
3. Proven experience working on industrial switchgear, generator changeovers, and distribution boards for essential and non-essential supplies.
4. Strong knowledge of electrical systems and maintenance.
5. Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
Desirable:
1. HV AP qualification (training will be provided if required).
2. Basic mechanical knowledge (preferred but not essential).
3. Experience with DC Systems, air-conditioning/chiller plants, alarm testing, ACBs, UPSs, and standby generators is highly advantageous.
Additional Information:
This is a mobile role covering the North East and North West of England. You must be flexible to travel across these regions. The ideal candidate will be based in York/Selby or within the Central Belt, but other locations in the North may also be considered. Full training and support will be provided for the right candidate.
