Applicants will hold a BSc in Clinical Physiology or equivalent with relevant clinical experience in respiratory physiology sciences. Newly qualified applicants or junior clinical physiologists enthusiastic about respiratory medicine are welcomed and must be eligible for voluntary registration with the RCCP or equivalent. However, we will also consider taking on applications eligible to be appointed as Senior Assistant Respiratory Physiologist (Band 4). For such candidates, previous experience in lung function testing will be preferred, however not essential. The successful applicant will complete an internal work-based training programme, which includes in-house competencies and relevant external accreditations. The successful applicants will have the ability to work flexibly, be proactive and enjoy working as part of a team. A keen eye for detail and accuracy is also required. Even though the post is predominantly based at Royal South Hants (RSH), you may be asked to cover other UHS sites (for example, Southampton General Hospital).
