Our Client manufactures industrial packaging converting systems covering the entire packaging/void fill and product protection markets.
Key Markets: E-commerce, B2B, B2C & 3PL: Third Party Logistics
New business development role – leasing machinery, (arranging for equipment to be supplied on trial / demonstrating systems at all levels), and selling packaging paper materials.
Ideal Candidate location: Northern Home Counties
Full induction including 8-12 week Technical Product training
The Role
Within the protective packaging market:
1. Acquire, sustain and grow new business.
2. Schedule appointments and visits as required effectively.
3. Gather market information.
4. Follow up all new business enquiries.
5. Follow up during trial periods and close sales opportunities.
6. Have, (developed through in-house training) a technical knowledge to deal with easy-to-fix problems.
7. Assist at all necessary exhibitions and events.
8. Maintain records of visits, activities and tasks in SAP CRM.
9. Submit weekly reports to Sales Manager.
10. Carry out other duties deemed appropriate by the Sales Manager or SMT.
The Skills/Experience
1. Proven track record of new business development results.
2. Negotiation ability.
3. A sales/service background.
4. IT literate (MS Office).
5. Good communication ability.
6. Good phone manner.
7. Good organisational skills.
8. Experienced in void fill/protective packaging market (2 years min.) desirable.
9. Experience of working to target.
10. Experienced in both new business development and account management.
11. Basic technical understanding.
12. Product training experience.

1. Local to sales area.
2. Self-starter.
3. Self-motivated (Looking for the next sale/task).
4. Proactive, hands-on ‘A Doer’.
5. Sound common sense.
6. Happy to travel (30k+ miles per year).
7. Clean driving license.
