The hospital is a trust of 5 site bases with intensive care departments on 2 of its larger sites and theatres on 3 of the 5 sites. You will predominantly be based at the Royal Lancaster Infirmary covering the Intensive Care Unit. You will join a department of8 Consultants with several Specialists, Specialty Doctor sand ACCP's. Depending upon your clinical skills the successful candidate could have the opportunity to work in main theatres covering maternity, gynaecology, orthopaedic and trauma, ophthalmology and ENT while also attending our Westmorland General Hospital that focuses primarily on Elective Surgery. Interview date for this role is tbc Main duties of the job You will work in the Intensive Care Unit at Royal Lancaster Infirmary participating in a 1:8 consultant of the week and non-resident on call rota. Prospective cover for annual and study leave is in place. The post holder will be expected to follow the job plan and manage their own work programme, within Trust policy & procedures. This post is based at Royal Lancaster Infirmary. The direct clinical care work on the 10 PA contract will initially comprise 8.5 PAs for clinical care and 1.5 SPA.
