Governance and Technical Proposition Manager
Location: Reigate – Hybrid (min 50% office based)
We have an exciting role for someone who wants to use their technical expertise to support our Retail Commercial and Proposition teams on a variety of initiatives to deliver the Retail strategy. It will involve working on propositional change to evolve our existing products as well as the launch of new products and taking a lead role in mapping regulatory frameworks.
The role holder will also work with colleagues in the Technical team to support in the resolution of technical queries as well reviewing key documentation to ensure they maintain technical accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Using software to identify a regulatory change and then analysing and documenting the impact of this change.
2. Providing required reporting to internal committees within the specified timescales and following up on any actions after.
3. Provide a summary of the impact of recent regulatory changes to key business stakeholders within the agreed SLA.
4. Create and then maintain a framework which maps the product rules and operational processes against regulatory requirements and historical business decisions.
5. Work with propositional owners and product development teams prior to products launching to ensure new product developments are permitted within the regulatory framework.
6. Work with product leads and development teams prior to products launching to ensure Governance practices are understood and adhered to.
7. Being an escalation point within the Technical team for queries and supporting the team to ensure that queries are resolved within the agreed SLA’s.
Skills and Experience:
1. Experience working within a technical team or in a technical role.
2. Experience working in either Defined Contribution (DC) Pensions Market, Equity Release market or within a technical roles for wider investment products such as ISA’s or GIA’s.
3. Able to understand and interpret the regulations and rules applicable to pensions.
4. Ability to summarise complex subjects for varying audiences.
5. Able to engage and manage relationships with various stakeholders, including senior management.
